KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) — Officials in Uganda said Friday they had lifted a lockdown on the country that was ordered after a deadly Ebola virus outbreak, and confirmed a second case of the virus.
Officials said Thursday that at least 42 people had died of Ebola, including two in the capital, Kampala, and said they had started a second phase of the government’s “surgical” response that has had so far spared neighboring countries.
